'Fallout 4' DLC release date news: 'Automatron' scheduled for March 22
Gamers will face the evil Mechanist and his horde of robots unleashed to the Commonwealth with new exciting challenges as the first "Fallout 4" DLC, "Automatron," will be released on March 22. Bethesda has confirmed in a blog post that the add-on will be available for download soon for PlayStation 4, X-Box One and PC users for $9.99.

A lot of new features can be expected in the upcoming add-on. Players can hunt the robots down and make use of the looted parts to create and mod a customized personal robot companion. Players can also choose from hundreds of mods: mixing limbs, armor, abilities, and weapons like the all-new lightning chain gun. The paint schemes and voice of the robot allies can also be customized.
"Automatron" is the first of the three DLC's of "Fallout 4" scheduled to be released throughout 2016. "The Wasteland Workshop" is scheduled for April release, while "Far Harbor" will be out by May. The costs of "The Wasteland Workshop" and "Far Harbor" are $4.99 and $24.99, respectively.
While customizable robot companions will be showcased in "Automatron," the second DLC coined as "The Wasteland Workshop," will add a feature that will allow players to "design and set cages to capture live creatures." The creatures can be tamed or pitted against other creatures in a battle.
"'The Wasteland Workshop' also includes a suite of new design options for your settlements like nixie tube lighting, letter kits, taxidermy and more!" Bethesda's post stated further.
The "Far Harbor" will introduce a new mission that will lead the players searching for a young woman and a "secret colony of synths."
"Travel off the coast of Maine to the mysterious island of Far Harbor, where higher levels of radiation have created a more feral world," the post described.
It was also revealed by Bethesda that a mod support system that will allow players to create their own mods and share them with fellow players, will be out between the release dates of first two DLC's. The created mods will be made playable across all platforms.
