Exploration Game 'Lifeless Planet: Premier Edition' Release Date: Lands on Xbox One

This week will see the release of "Lifeless Planet: Premier Edition" exclusively for the Xbox One. Described as a "third-person action adventure with a classic sci-fi plot," the game will be available for the console starting Wednesday, May 13.
Started as a crowd-funded project on Kickstarter, the game quickly reached its goal of $17,236 within 24 hours. Since then, "Lifeless Planet" was hit by a series of delays as it missed its original release date in 2012. The game finally landed on Steam Early Access in March 2014 and was then released for the PC in June 2014 priced at $20.
The upcoming "Lifeless Planet: Premier Edition" has been improved substantially since the PC version was released last year to mediocre reviews. The PC version currently holds a Metacritic rating of 59.
The upcoming version of the game will allow gamers to follow an astronaut who crashes on a distant planet. After crashing, he will find that the planet is barren with no visible inhabitants contrary to reports that it was lush and thriving with wildlife. As he proceeds to explore the planet he will pass through 20 levels and face a number of adventures and solve puzzles.
Among the discoveries that he makes on the planet is a town dating to the Soviet era, which is now abandoned with evidence that humans once lived there.
The astronaut will soon find that he is not alone on the planet as he will encounter a woman named Aelita. She transfers a green glow from her skin to the soil as she walks and he will use it to navigate the dangerous terrain and dodge enemies in various forms and shapes.
After the game's arrival on the Xbox One was hinted at last month on its official Twitter account, there was some speculation that it would be available as a Games with Gold offering for the month of May. There are no indications until now that this will happen.
