Evangelist Andrew Palau shares Gospel in Dominican Republic
An evangelist has taken part in sharing God's gift of salvation to the people of Dominican Republic.
Andrew Palau preached the gospel to thousands in the city of Dajabon, located in the western part of the country, near the border of Haiti.
The festival was part of a bigger event in the region, which is referred to as "Buena Vida!" Another evangelistic meeting was also held at the bordering town of Ouanaminthe in Haiti.
During the evangelistic event, huge crowds met at the La Calle de Ancha, where they watched drama performances, sporting events, and other activities for families and children.
Palau delivered the message on the second evening of the festival, beginning with a video clip of his father, Luis Palau, who has become popular among the people of Dominican Republic because of his radio ministry in the region. Around 2,500 committed their lives to the Jesus.
"It was a great privilege to serve the churches, pastors, and the body of Christ in a town that--as is true of many border towns--has the unique pressures that come along with being a major connecting point to a neighboring country," Palau said of Dajabon.
"There is a tendency in these places for there to be less input or assistance as they dream of how the Gospel might impact their city. I'm so grateful for Reid Saunders and his team for their investment into this region," he added.
