A lot of fans of Eminem were delighted by the news earlier this year that the top rap artist is set to release a new album sometime this year. However, as of the meantime, neither Eminem or anyone from his camp has confirmed a release date for the much-anticipated rap album.

It is possible that Eminem has very limited time to focus on his next album as he still has a number of engagements from other big projects, including the soundtrack for the upcoming DC film "Suicide Squad."

The silence of Eminem's camp is seen by some fans as an indication that the rapper is not yet ready to record new music for his upcoming album. However, there might be a reason regarding the rapper's quietness, amid the reports that he will be unleashing his new album three years after his previous record. Ecumenical News reported that Eminem has a very tight schedule to follow, and finding time to create new tracks for his album might be challenging for the rapper as of the moment. It does not mean, however, that the rapper will no longer push through with the album. It's just that the fans will have to wait a little longer for the development of the said project.

Eminem is said to be involved in writing the original soundtracks (OSTs) of different movies coming up this year. In fact, as reported by Yibada, Eminem is also involved in the OST of the upcoming DC comic movie, "Suicide Squad." If this is true, then the rapper would remain busy for the rest of the year until the movie finally comes out in August. There is no confirmation, however, from the camp of Eminem regarding his present and future music engagements.

Meanwhile, Movie News Guide hinted that Eminem's 2016 album might be featuring some remastered version of his previous hits, most especially his 2002 hit song "Lose Yourself."
