Eleventh Video Shows Planned Parenthood Abortionist Describing Illegal Partial Birth Abortion, CMP Says
A pro-life activist group has released its latest undercover video showing a Planned Parenthood employee discussing the removal of fetuses from the mothers' womb that some argue resembles the illegal partial birth abortion method.
The video, recently released by the Center for Medical Progress [CMP], shows Dr. Amna Dermish, employed by the Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas in Austin, discussing her method of twisting the fetus so its feet come out first during an abortion in order to preserve the integrity of the fetus' internal organs.
In the undercover video, Dermish says that "[her] aim is usually to get the specimens out pretty intact," adding that she will often manipulate the fetus so the feet and torso are removed first.
Dermish adds that she does not use the chemical digoxin for fetuses younger than 20 weeks gestation because it may damage the fetal tissue.
As the Center for Medical Progress reports, such a practice bears striking resemblance to the illegal practice of partial birth abortions.
Dermish goes on to say that she has yet to remove a fetus with a fully intact head, saying: "I haven't been able to do that yet."
"This will give me something to strive for," Dermish adds in the video.
David Daleiden, the activist behind the Center for Medical Progress' Planned Parenthood abortion series, said in a statement to LifeNews that the most recent video is evidence that the abortion provider practices partial-birth abortions.
"Less than 4 miles away from the Texas state capitol, Planned Parenthood routinely practices barbaric partial-birth abortions on living, late-term fetuses," Daleiden says in a statement. "Planned Parenthood's crimes are not just the result of local bad actors, but are tolerated and even encouraged at the highest levels of the national organization. State-level criminal investigations must press charges, and Congress' new select committee must pursue a deep and comprehensive accounting of Planned Parenthood's atrocities against humanity."
