'Dying Light' weekend challenge has zombie 'swiping'

Video game enthusiasts who are fans of the zombie apocalypse and like to gun down a couple of grisly undead have found "Dying Light" to be a very entertaining game to satisfy their gaming needs. It has become a massive commercial hit among the gamers after it was launched on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC and has garnered popularity even more following the release of the game's new DLC last month called "The Following." To cater the expectation of the growing number of players for a more engaging gaming experience, Techland, the group behind the open world zombie game, has recently cooked up an interesting event.
The event, which involved a lot of zombie-slaying activities, was held last weekend as Techland amassed a huge crowd and challenged them to kill as many ferocious zombies as possible in a span of only a few days. Players stood up to the challenge with "Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition" which would enable better visuals, smoother moves and a wider range of fresh rural maps while playing the game.
As noted by the Inquisitr, the challenge prompted many "Dying Light" players to bring down a huge herd of zombies using motor vehicles, which was proven to be the deadliest weapon available if the target is to kill a large volume of zombies within a limited time. Running down zombies with a motor vehicle was more efficient than shooting them down with handheld guns or other artilleries due to the vehicle's huge size and heavily-packed force.
The reward given to those that have killed many zombies was a gold paint job for the vehicle of choice, which was the dune buggy. In this challenge, the goal was to slaughter 5 million zombies within the time limit. However, the weekend passed and the total zombie head count was an incredible 18 million.
Those who had the "Dying Light: The Following- Enhanced Edition" enjoyed the weekend challenge. The enhanced version of the content pack was released together with the regular "Dying Light: The Following" expansion pack on February 9 and first experienced by PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC users. "Dying Light: The Following" is the game's new DLC that is composed of 10-hour long gameplay. The DLC and enhanced edition package has a retail price of $59.99.
Prior to the DLC's release, Techland revealed that they included "bold game-changers" in the content pack that will make the game even bigger than before. Design & Trend website reported that "The Following" features a lot of new areas including caves, waterfalls, farms, and open fields- different than what was shown in the original game which features buildings.
