'Dumb and Dumber To' Release Date Set for November 14, 2014 - Jim Carey and Jeff Daniels Back
Dumb and Dumber To is an upcoming American comedy film arriving in theaters on November 14, 2014. It will serve as a sequel to the 1994 film, Dumb and Dumber, and is directed by the Farrelly brothers, who also serve as the writers for the movie.
The movie will feature Jim Carrey, Laurie Holden, Jeff Daniels and Kathleen Turner, and a description of what to expect has been released: "Twenty years after their last adventure, and after Lloyd reveals his long-lasting prank, good-hearted, yet dimwitted best friends, Harry Dunne and Lloyd Christmas head out in search for Harry's long lost daughter, and Lloyd's in love again."
In an interview with ORTC.com, Jim Carrey revealed how filming "Dumb and Dumber To" has been like: "We're having so much fun. It's like, more fun than it was before. We're just having a blast, so everybody's getting back into the stuff and it just feels so good to have a character that only wears one thing all the time. Makes things real easy. It's great," he said.
Carrey went on, "Jeff and I are having a blast and the Farrelly brothers are nuts. They're completely insane and you look around and everybody's the same, the whole crew -- they just drag everybody along. It's like the caravan of fun. It's cool."
In a separate interview, Peter Farelly shared some news about their progress on the sequel. "It's going well. We have a great script and now we are just trying to get it made. I love the script. It's exactly like the first one. We pick up 20 years later. We explain what they've done for the last 17 or 18 years. We take off from that and it's just a lot of laughs. It's at Warner Bros., and right now it's being financed outside the studio, but it will be released by Warner Bros," he said.
"And that's all being worked out right now. If you liked Dumb and Dumber, you'll like this because it's the same and more. It's really fun. It's being made through Warner Bros. but now we have several financiers that are negotiating with the studio and trying to make the best deal. Whichever one does will make the movie. It's going to be made through Warner Bros. and released by Warner Bros. but financed by an outside financer," he added.
Now that the movie is all ready to be released, it's only a few days until we see Jim Carrey and the rest of the gang again after a 10-year Dumb and Dumber hiatus.
