Duggars 19 Kids & Counting News: Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald Wedding Sees Couple Deviate From Duggar Family Traditions
"19 Kids & Counting" star Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald were married on Saturday, Nov. 1, in the presence of over 1,000 guests and family members at First Baptist Church in Bentonville, Arkansas.

The wedding saw the couple deviating from a number of Duggar family traditions, including making their first kiss not in public, but in private, soon after exchanging their vows.
Instead, the pastor who officiated the wedding asked the bride's mother and father Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar to kiss at the altar. E ! Online adds that Jessa and Ben did however kiss during the wedding reception that followed.
The wedding saw other departures from tradition. For instance, the bride chose to wear a pink hued wedding dress rather than white. The dress was designed by Allure which featured it in its Fall 2014 collection. It has a scoop neck, a satin skirt with some of its tulle removed and its bodice incorporated pearls and Swarovski crystals.
Instead of cake, the newlyweds served ice cream sundaes. Guests got to choose between brownies and ice cream with a variety of toppings to choose from including chocolate and caramel. Insiders say ice cream was chosen because Jessa does not like cake. During the reception, she chose a chocolate flavored ice cream while Ben opted for the mint chocolate combination.
Earlier in the week, the wedding of Jill and Derick was shown as part of the show. That wedding took place last June and Jill is currently expecting a baby boy.
Jessa and Ben had been dating for 11 months before they were engaged in August this year.
Viewers of the "19 Kids & Counting" reality TV show will get to see the wedding episode next year.
