Duggar Family '19 Kids And Counting' News: Censorship & A Stressed Nanny

YouTube

Two important points came to the forefront in the latest episode of "19 Kids And Counting". One was the censoring of the anti-abortion T-shirt that several Duggar family members were wearing. The other was increased speculation that the oldest Duggar daughter Jana was "tired and worn out" as she had to take care of her younger siblings.

Controversially, TLC, the channel that airs the show, blurred out the message on the pro-life T-shirts worn by the cast of the show. The message "I Survived Roe vs Wade, Roe vs Wade Will Not Survive Me" was on the T-Shirts that Bryan Kemper provided to the Duggar family.

Kemper has since said that TLC's decision to blur the message on the shirts was surprising. Kemper has explained that the T-shirt has been previously worn by several family members on the show. He also urged people to complain to TLC about the censorship.

According to some media outlets, TLC's sudden decision to blur the message can be attributed to the recent controversy that ensued when Jessa Duggar posted a photo and message on Instagram. In it she compared the abortion of babies to the extermination of Jews during the Holocaust.

The Duggars have frequently voiced their opposition to abortion and worn the T-Shirts previously, but some believe TLC decided to avoid more negative publicity about the Duggars' pro-life stance on abortion, and hence censored the T-Shirts.

Another issue that arose was about Jana Duggar, who is single, unlike some of her younger sisters who are married. People have been speculating that babysitting her younger siblings is starting to take a toll on her. Some have even been harsh enough to question the Duggar parents' motives towards their own daughter, with some bloggers claiming the parents do not want her to settle down as they will lose their babysitter. Duggar family supporters have, however, trashed those claims, rubbishing them as unfounded and unfair.
