"Duck Dynasty" star Jep Robertson was recently released from a Louisiana hospital after suffering a seizure while on a hunting trip nearly  two weeks ago.

TMZ reports that Jep was able to leave the hospital on Tuesday, although doctors are still reportedly unsure what caused his seizure on October 19. Jep had remained in the hospital for over two weeks to undergo testing to determine if some sort of infection had caused the medical incident.

Doctors told TMZ that Jep will remain on medications and may go through additional testing. They also said that the reality show star is reportedly very weak, and the network behind his show, A&E, will allow him time to recuperate before it starts filming again.

The actor reportedly suffered a seizure while hunting with his brother Willie and other family members on October 19. The reality show star reportedly collapsed in the woods and Willie called an ambulance and had Jep transported to a nearby hospital.

"Well, I about died this past Sunday," Jep tweeted over the weekend, along with a photo of him in a hospital bed. "I'm doing much better now. Thanks for all the prayers! #seizuresuck #gladtobealive."

Robertson's family released a statement at the beginning of this week that read: "Jep was rushed to the hospital and received immediate treatment. He is doing well now, but is still in the hospital for additional tests and observation, and he is being treated with antibiotics to cover a range of possible infections believed to have caused the seizure."

"Our family would like to thank everyone for their love and support and ask that you keep Jep, Jessica and their children in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time," the statement added.
