Square Enix has been very busy in the gaming world lately with a lot of their action-packed video games slated for release in the coming months. One of the most anticipated offering from the game developer company this year is the hack 'n' slash adventure game "Dragon Quest Heroes II: The Twin Kings and the Prophecy's End," which a brand new trailer for the upcoming video game has been released.

The latest action-packed trailer revealed to the public several new features of "Dragon Quest Heroes" that include new characters, new special attacks and fighting styles, and heart-pounding giant boss battles. The latest additions to the multiplayer mode of the action role-playing game (ARPG) were also shown in the 8-minute long extended trailer.

A report from Yibada enumerates some of the exciting game features the players can expect as the new "Dragon Quest Heroes II" video game hits their consoles. The upcoming game will now allow the player characters to transform into different types of monsters. This ability to shape-shift into another creature is only possible using an old feature from the original "Dragon Quest Heroes" game called the "Monster Coin" that is used by the players to summon monsters.

The original characters making a comeback in the upcoming "Dragon Quest Heroes" video game are Razel (voiced by Mirai Moriyama), Cesare (voiced by Takayuki Yamada), Orneze (voiced by Nana Mizuki) and Tereshia (voiced by Emi Takei). The new characters to be introduced in "The Twin Kings and the Prophecy's End" include Meena (voiced by Yoko Hisa), Torneko (voiced by Chafurin), Carver (voiced by Hiroko Yasumoto), Maribel (voiced by Aoi Yuki), Gabo (voiced by Mutsumi Tamura), and Angelo (voiced by Yoshimasa Hosoya).

The new "Multiplayer Battle Mode" feature, on the other hand, can be obtained by the gamers through a free update. Aside from the actual gameplay itself, the new "Dragon Quest Heroes II" will include new quests and sub-scenarios, as well as new challenging boss characters. The upcoming giant bosses, named Dragonlord and Esterk, will be faced by the players once a free downloadable content (DLC) pack is obtained. The said DLC pack will be made available at a later date, Gematsu reported.

A special live stream event by Square Enix entitled "Dragon Quest Heroes: The Live" was aired on April 8. During the event, the company revealed more details about the upcoming game and the new extended trailer, Dual Shockers reported.

"Dragon Quest Heroes II: The Twin Kings and the Prophecy's End" will be released on May 27 exclusively for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita consoles. It is considered to be a "Dragon Quest Heroes" spin-off game and a direct sequel of "The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below" released in 2015.
