According to Techno Buffalo, Bandai Namco unveiled a few new image stills before the game is officially launched at the Tokyo Game Show 2016 later this week. The sequel follows side stories and the non-canonical films of the "Dragon Ball" universe. One of the screenshots features characters from the twelfth "Dragon Ball Z" installment titled "Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn." Both the film's hero Gojita and villain Janemba appears in the photos, along with Goku's father Bardock.

Fans will also recognize the dynamic between Future Gohan and Future Trunks from an alternate timeline in the Android Saga. Future Trunks can be seen devastated upon discovering Future Gohan after his battle against Turles. Fan-favorite fighter Android 16 will also make his first appearance in the game, with Cell who is still in his most imperfect form.

An interesting gameplay feature from "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is that players can now form a team with a maximum of five members. The group of gamers will be able to come up with a plan before battling it out with another opposing team. Meanwhile, fans were initially concerned when reports claimed that Goku Black will only be available to those who placed pre-orders on the character. However, Saiyan Island recently reported that Goku Black will not be a pre-order bonus and it will be a playable character for everyone who purchases the game. There are speculations that a Super Saiyan Rose transformation will also be included, but Bandai Namco has yet to confirm the rumors.

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Oct. 25. More details are expected after the Tokyo Game Show 2016 event which will be held this coming weekend.
