"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" was confirmed to be under development and the fans of the first video game are expecting the upcoming title to feature new exciting gameplay, as well as new characters introduced in the recent "Dragon Ball" films and series. It is expected that "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will surpass its predecessor in terms of the game quality and advanced graphics although the fans are more looking forward to the new roster of character players.

The latest trailer of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" revealed several new characters in the video game such as Dodoria, Turles, Lord Slug and Zarbon. The new characters such as Turles and Lord Slug came from the newer "Dragon Ball Z" films titled "Tree of Might" and "Lord Slug," respectively. This will be a way for the players to get to know more about the new villainous characters, more so their fighting moves. However, aside from the villainous "Dragon Ball" characters already mentioned, there are more villains rumored to appear in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2."

As reported by The Bitbag, characters such as Androids 12, 13, 14 and 15 are possible to make an appearance in the game sequel, as these villains have appeared in the recent "Dragon Ball Z" movies but were not introduced in the first "Dragon Ball Xenoverse" video game. It is also possible that Bojak the Space Pirate will be a part of the roster.

Regarding the release date, the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed in an issue that "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will arrive in Japan this winter, Anime News Network reported. While the release date report only pertains to Japan, iDigital Times noted that the first "Dragon Ball Xenoverse" video game was first released in Japan on February 5 last year and the North American countries received the game on Feb. 24. Considering that it only took a few weeks for the worldwide launching of the game to happen after the Japanese release, it can be expected that "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will also be out in the markets worldwide by winter.
