Episode 46 of Akira Toriyama's "Dragon Ball Super" features the ending of the minor story arc in Planet Potaufeu and the Z fighters' dilemma with the mysterious Superhuman Water. To recap, Trunks, Goten, Pan and Monaka all found themselves trapped in Planet Potaufeu, although their arrival in the mysterious planet did not go well as they were faced by the Superhuman Water, with the ability to mimic everyone that it touches and spawn a clone that has the same power level and skills of the original person.

Vegeta followed the children to Planet Potaufeu to rescue them, but things got more complicated as the Superhuman Water was able to become a Copy Vegeta, having the same ability of the Saiyan Prince to transform into Super Saiyan form. Goten and Trunks tried to defeat Copy Vegeta by using the fusion technique to transform into Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks, but to no avail. Copy Vegeta easily defeated Super Gotenks, but then Son Goku arrived to save the day. Unfortunately for Goku, fighting someone who has the exact power level as Super Saiyan God Vegeta is not an easy thing to do. In the end, they learned that in able to defeat the Superhuman Water, they have to destroy its nucleus. Ultimately, Monaka accidentally stepped on Superhuman Water's nucleus, thus destroying Vegeta's clone and saving the lives of the Z fighters.

Perhaps the most intriguing part of Episode 46 is the shot of Future Trunks running towards the end of the episode. Yibada noted that the ending scene of the episode marks the beginning of another major arc for "Dragon Ball Super" with the return of Future Trunks. According to the latest plot rumors, Future Trunks has something to tell the Z fighters of the present timeline regarding a new threat to the universe. The upcoming big villain of the series is none other than Son Goku's evil version from a parallel universe, dubbed as "Black Goku."
