'Dragon Ball Super' episode 67 spoilers: Zamasu returns to wage new havoc; Goku to summon Omni King for help?

Zamasu’s weakness was exposed in the 66th episode of “Dragon Ball Superâ€, but his defeat in the hands of Trunks may not be absolute. | YouTube/Toei Animation

Zamasu's reign of terror finally ended in a spectacular display of unity and faith in the 66th episode of "Dragon Ball Super." Now that the future timeline is once again safe, Son Goku and his crew prepare to get back to the present timeline to face new adventures up ahead.

In a surprising turn of events that deviated from the usual "Goku saves the day" theme that consisted most of the earlier battles featured in the popular Japanese anime series, the much touted fusion form of Goku and Vegeta failed to bring down the big bad after using up the energy needed to keep them in their fused form.

As the two great Saiyan warriors fused back out, Trunks came swooping back in with his sword and everyone's energy fusing into one giant spirit bomb to finally bring the battle to a definitive close.

However, a post on GojiitaAF's Facebook timeline announces that the fight may be far from over when "Dragon Ball Super" airs its next episode titled "With New Hope In Our Hearts!! Farewell, Trunks." Just when everybody thinks Zamasu is gone, the immortal fiend's body starts covering the sky, threatening to cause a brand new kind of destruction.

It is at this point that Goku supposedly remembers something he's had in his pocket all this time. Since the preview for the next episode features an appearance from the all-powerful god of the 12 universes, Zen-Oh, would Goku be hitting the button that Zen-Oh himself has previously given him to summon the Omni King to the battlefield?

This summoning could potentially lead to the next rumored arc that will involve the omniverse tournament that Zen-Oh previously said he wanted to host. This tournament will witness the gathering of Z Fighters from all universes, which could bring Goku, Vegeta and Future Trunks back in each other's path.

In the meantime, "Dragon Ball Super" episode 67, which might see the end of the "Future Trunks Arc," airs on Sunday, Nov. 20, at 9 a.m JST. on Fuji TV.
