The previous episode of "Dragon Ball Super" has clearly illustrated how the act of pure vengeance is done when Vegeta defeated Frost in a short battle after the latter's cunning fighting gimmick defeated Son Goku and Piccolo in the earlier chapters. However, in the aftermath of Vegeta's previous match, a new rule was introduced in the tournament that would make it quite more challenging for the Saiyan prince to win the next bout. As it appears in Episode 35, Vegetta will have to defeat another powerful Saiyan named Magetta from another universe but as the recent episode has shown, Vegeta encountered difficulties in order to put Magetta down.

In Episode 36 called "An Unexpectedly Tricky Opponent!? Vegeta's Explosion of Rage!," the new rule is about "out of bounce loss" that would result in the loss of a fighter if he touches the barrier of the fighting arena even while fighting midair. Magetta had his way to corner Vegeta and made it harder for the latter to throw punches on him. This made Vegeta a Super Saiyan to increase the level of the fight.

In the end, both Saiyan warriors resorted to transform to their Super Saiyan state. According to BREATHEcast, the moment Vegeta powered up a powerful final blow off the hook, Magetta also prepared his magma charge off his mouth, and the trailer shows Vegeta's power beam and Magetta's lava spit charging against each other in midair.

It also looks like Vegeta will advance to the next battle, presumably defeating Magetta in the extreme clash even with the new rule added in the match. His next opponent will be Cabba, a unique Saiyan coming from Universe 6. Although he knew Vegeta has the ability to transform into a golden-haired Super Saiyan, Cabba seems to remain calm and confident that he will defeat his opponent even though he can't use his Super Saiyan powers.
