The upcoming sequel to the online-only first-person shooter video game, "Destiny" is expected to come out in 2017. Since the release of the original game, numerous rumors and speculations have emerged all over the Internet with regard to "Destiny 2." Now many fans are wondering if there will be more DLC updates to be rolled out for the current game, while they wait for the second installment next year.

The "Destiny 2 Rise of Iron" DLC has already been set to be released in September, and there are reports suggesting that this will not be the last DLC pack to arrive for "Destiny."

During the recently concluded Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016, game director Chris Barrett and Bungie's marketing director Eric Osborne shared some details about the future of the game in their interview with Kotaku.

"Wow, people are concerned, I mean we've been out 18 months. I think people talk about Destiny like it's been here for decades," Osborne said. "Eighteen months, this is our fourth expansion. 40+ updates to the base game. I think the content pace is pretty normal... It's a nice problem to have that people want to know about more content."

Barrett also explained that the goal of the company is to continue to provide quality content for players.

"The idea is all of the above, right? So we want to get to a place where we can ship really great expansions like Rise of Iron and cool events like Festival of the Lost, and that's sort of the full library of stuff that we want to deliver," the game director said. "We want to keep more regular content for players," when asked if gamers can expect paid DLC or small-sized free updates or more live events."

Meanwhile, Bungie has been known to release several updates since the original game came out almost two years ago. It will not be surprising if they will release another downloadable content a few months after "Rise of Iron."
