'Destiny 2' release date news update: Expected in 2017; 'Rise of Iron' DLC to arrive in September
Gaming fans have an unquenchable thirst for more and it does not simply end by giving them a new update on a game they already cannot get their hands off.

This is exactly what is happening with "Destiny" as they are already ready to give users a new downloadable content called "Rise of Iron," but many still want to know when the sequel to the popular game will be.
"Rise of Iron" is expected to have a September release, but according to PCAdvisor, the second "Destiny" game will be released sometime around 2017.
Some say that the game may release around summer, but looking at the franchise's timeline, the first "Destiny" game was released on Sept. 9, 2014. Some developers pattern releases of the game according to when the previous version released, so it could also be a possibility that "Destiny 2" will be out by September of 2017 as well.
And while the wait for the second game may be a little bit longer, the DLC should be something that can help fans manage their waiting time a little more.
Speaking at the recently concluded Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016, "Rise of Iron" creative lead Christopher Barrett said that this DLC will have the same theme as "Fallen" and the entire DLC will be played on a zone called the Plaguelands.
Speaking to GameSpot, Barrett said, "So it's tied up in the theme of SIVA fighting the Fallen Devil Splicers... something I'm super excited by is the setting — it's on Earth, and as you can see in some of the images from the trailer, it's got a scale that's really cool. You can see the Guardians running along the wall and it's got a big, open, epic feel to it, which I think will feel very unique compared to some of the other raids which were more dark dungeons and stuff like that. This has a bigger, open feel."
Stay tuned to get more updates and news on "Rise of Iron" and "Destiny 2."
