"Deadpool" will be a different kind of superhero movie like the blockbuster "Guardians of the Galaxy" and its main character will be like Iron Man.

This was how Rob Liefeld, the creator of the new Marvel superhero character, described the upcoming Fox movie set to hit theaters on Feb. 12, 2016, according to a Variety report.

Liefeld said the movie will have as "as much heart and soul as violence and action."

"Prepare for an experience that you haven't encountered yet," Liefeld said. "It's a new template in the way that 'Guardians of the Galaxy' established a new tone for the franchise. 'Deadpool' will do the same."

Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds, who has played the role of Deadpool in the 2009 movie "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," will own the character in the same manner that Robert Downey Jr. has been identified with Marvel character Iron Man, said Liefeld. This would be the second superhero role for Reynolds after playing the role of DC Comics' character Green Lantern in 2011.

"In the same manner that Robert Downey Jr. co-opted Tony Stark/Iron Man and now seems to 'own' him in that way that you can't imagine Iron Man without him, that's what will happen with Ryan Reynolds and Deadpool," Liefeld said. "The Tony Stark I grew up with wasn't as snappy and as quippy as Downey Jr. made him, but now I only think of his performance."

The film will narrate the origin story of Wade Wilson a.k.a. Deadpool, Marvel Comics' "most unconventional anti-hero."

Wilson, a previous Special Forces operative who turned into a mercenary, adopted his alter ego after being subjected in an experiment that gave him accelerated healing powers, said Comicbook.com. With his newfound abilities and his "dark, twisted sense of humor," Deadpool is on the hunt for the man who nearly destroyed his life.

The movie is expected to "establish Deadpool on a global scale," Liefeld said.
