'Deadpool 2' release date news update: Producer announces plans to begin filming early 2017; Ajax and Cable to join cast?
The sequel for popular anti-hero flick "Deadpool" is already underway, and it seems like fans will see yet another interesting storyline with more new characters when the film hits theater screens next year.

Collider caught up with producer Simon Kinberg during the red carpet for the Saturn Awards and he gave important details about the upcoming superhero movie from 20th Century Fox. According to Kinberg, they plan to begin filming around early 2017. The creative team from the first film will still be in charge for "Deadpool 2," which includes lead actor Ryan Reynolds, screenwriters Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, and director Tim Miller.
Morena Baccarin, who portrayed the character of Vanessa in the first film, recently was interviewed to talk about her latest projects. The actress mentioned she will be in The CW's "Gotham" season 3 and possibly "Deadpool 2." "'Gotham,' I'll be busy with that until March of next year. And then maybe 'Deadpool 2'...you never know!" the actress said.
Baccarin also spoke about working with Ryan Reynolds, saying how intimidating it felt for her in the first few times they shot a scene together. "At first, it was terrifying because it's tough to keep up with Ryan Reynolds [who plays Deadpool]," she explained. "He's the funniest, quickest human being ever. But then you just go with it and allow yourself to relax into it. Once you've got the character down it becomes really fun. There was a lot of freedom and you start to have ideas and want to play around with things."
Rumor has it that Deadpool's arch enemy Ajax (Ed Skrein) will return along with Cable. There are also speculations that Spiderman, who worked with Deadpool in the comic books, is set to make an appearance. As of now, the details of the new plot remains under wraps.
A definitive premiere date for "Deadpool 2" is yet to be announced, but the film is expected to debut sometime in 2017 or 2018.
