'Dead Rising 4' release date, gameplay rumors: Microsoft confirms due for holiday release

Ever since the third installment of the open world survival horror beat 'em up video game series, "Dead Rising" came out, people had already talked about its third sequel. For almost three years "Dead Rising 4" has been a favorite subject of numerous rumors and speculations all over the internet. However, fans will no longer have to wait anymore since game developer Capcom and the American software giant Microsoft have already confirmed the fourth installment at the ongoing Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016.
The reveal also confirms the return of Frank West, the game's main protagonist. The confirmation came with the title's official trailer, which features amazing weaponry that players can use such as flamethrowing triceratops head and armors. Fans will be able to get their hands on "Dead Rising 4" during this year's holiday.
According to reports, the game will still focus on the photojournalist protagonist. West will battle it out against the enemies at a Colorado shopping mall. The game will have a Christmas setting, which only makes sense since they plan to release the game in December.
It will certainly be interesting to see how the game has improved since the release of the last installment in 2013. Many fans are hoping that Capcom will add more features to the new game title to make it even more exciting.
Additional features include deadly weapons such as the candy cane shooting crossbow, truck that shoots zombies and a mega machine gun that can take out several enemies in seconds. There are speculations that a co-op mode, which was first featured in "Dead Rising 3," will support cross-play between Windows 10 PCs and Xbox One. However, both Capcom and Microsoft have yet to confirm the reports.
"Dead Rising 4" will be released during the 2016 holiday season for Windows 10 PCs and Xbox One platforms. Fans expect both Microsoft and Capcom to provide more solid details about the game before they roll it out.
