Dark Souls III news update: PC settings revealed, Xbox One version review

PC settings of the highly anticipated action role-playing game Dark Souls III were revealed, along with a recent review of what's to come for Xbox One players of the game.
A German website was one of the first few who got a hold of information about the upcoming Dark Souls III PC game settings. Neogaf user Bl@de translated the report which mentioned of the game running at 60 fps which "appears to be as good as it's going to get, even with in-game tweaks," as Gaming Bolt reported. From Software suggested a Dual Core CPU to give a fine gameplay experience, but no word from the as to how it performs in the long run. The SSAO can be set from Low to High, though no specific setting was disclosed for HBAO+/MSAA/SMAA.Furthermore, only on and off options are available for AA.
Ahead of Dark Souls III's scheduled release, Eurogamer was able to have a test-run of the game using Microsoft's XBox One. In comparison with the PS4, "On a close pixel count, it turns out Xbox One dials its native resolution back to a straight 1600x900 in this case. Essentially, this puts us at 70 percent of the PS4's overall pixel output," Eurogamer stated.
In terms of frame-rate, Eurogamer believes there are some isolated spots Xbox One needs to improve. "At our very first step, we get a continuous stretch of play at 25fps in the opening section - a drop incurred by the heavy volumetric fog effects around this area's frosty high-rises. Boss battles produce similar issues on Xbox One, and we even reach frame-rates at near 20fps for larger-scale encounters on the High Wall of Lothric," as reported by Eurogame
Previous reports mentioned of new areas and armor for fans to expect in Dark Souls III. Moreover, new characters are included in the game including a boss named Iudex Gundyr. Official screenshots from the video game publisher showed the boss wearing a full body of armor and a mask while wielding a long bladed weapon.
April 12, 2016 is the confirmed release of Dark Souls III which will be available for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC. The Dark Souls III - Accursed trailer can be watched here.
