'Dark Souls 3' DLC release date, news, rumors: First DLC coming autumn 2016? Second content pack to arrive later this year

Bandai Namco's latest installment in the "Dark Sous" video game series has been proven to be a big hit in the gaming community. "Dark Souls 3" has become very successful in terms of sales and in critics' reviews since it was first released in PS4 ad Xbox One consoles on March 24. To further increase the thrill in the game, a game content pack is reported to be released this coming Fall.
According to a report from the Yibada website, Bandai Namco is planning the first ever DLC pack for "Dark Souls 3" to be released sometime in Fall 2016. While the company has been very quiet as of the moment regarding the new features and upgrades from the original that the players can expect from the expansion pack, the fans are already expecting the new contents to make the gameplay even more exciting.
The Video Gamer website reported that while the game developer team behind "Dark Souls 3" are busy with the first DLC launching in autumn, a second expansion pack can be expected by the players following right after the first one. Although the plans for the second DLC are still sketchy, the latest rumors point to a late 2016 release. The first and second DLC packs will be included in the season pass. However, the individual prices of each content pack are not yet confirmed.
"Dark Souls 3" has seen a huge amount of sales compared to its predecessor, "Dark Souls 2." The current game has a record 61 percent increase in sales in comparison with the total sales garnered by "Dark Souls 2." It is also the top best-selling game in the United Kingdom as of this week, IGN reported. The tangible copies of the game are the only ones attributed to the numbers, but the total number of sales is expected to be even bigger when the digital sales are also included in the figures.
The same report from Yibada noted that the main attractions of "Dark Souls 3" are the fresh stylish moves which do not change the "purity" of the traditional combat system for the worse. The setting of the latest "Dark Souls" video game is very new which attracts both the old-timers and first-time players of the video game series. The featured boss fights in the game are also well-designed and more challenging compared to those from "Dark Souls 2."
