'Dark Souls 3' DLC 'Ashes of Ariandel' release adte: DLC to be released Oct. 25; Gameplay details bared!

Fans and players of "Dark Souls 3" will be happy to know that so much is in store for them when the latest downloadable content (DLC) is finally released.

So much excitement and hype have built up following the announcement from game developer From Software and publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment that October 25 has been designated as the release date of "Dark Souls 3" DLC "Ashes of Ariandel." Fans of the famed video game are already excited to find out what the new expansion holds for them.

According to the team behind the DLC, the expansion pack will feature several exciting additions to the action role-playing game (RPG). Included in these add-ons are new weapons, bosses, and a whole lot more. The new set of ammunitions may be used to fight the new bosses in the two different boss fights included in the new expansion.

While neither From Software nor Bandai Namco Entertainment has confirmed the reports, there are speculations that the two new bosses will be called Gravetender and Greatwolf.

In a recent interview with Polygon, FromSoftware president and game director Hidetaka Miyazaki said that "Dark Souls 3" DLC "Ashes of Ariandel" can be best described as mysterious and unique. According to him, the goal is to give the game a "gothic flavor" through this first expansion, which he hopes will be passed on to the title's second expansion. However, the company and Miyazaki are keeping mum about the details of the purported second expansion.

In the same interview, Miyazaki revealed that the Painted World will make a comeback in "Dark Souls 3's" expansion. However, he made it clear that the Painted World of Ariandel is in no way connected to the Painted World of Ariamis in "Dark Souls 1."

"Dark Souls 3" DLC "Ashes of Ariandel" is set to roll out on Oct. 25. Until then, stay tuned for more details about the new expansion.
