'Daredevil' Season 3 spoilers: Elektra's revival, season 3 will be the last?

The second season of Marvel's "Daredevil" premiered on Netflix on March 18 with all episodes made available for viewers to binge-watch for a whole day. With a series like "Daredevil" which has garnered a huge fanbase for two years that it has been aired, there will always be questions arising whether the successful Netflix original will have a follow-up season.

It appears that Marvel Studios and Netflix are keeping mum regarding the rumors of a third season 3 for "Daredevil," and they look to be making the fans wait a little longer before making an announcement of a follow-up season. The pouring demand and popularity of the show will no doubt make the studios decide to make another one, and there could be the case that they always had a third season in mind all along.

Without any official mentions or confirmations from either Marvel or Netflix, there are already rumors buzzing around the internet regarding the supposed third season of "Daredevil," and one of those rumors has it that Season 3, if the studio indeed decided to push it through, will be the last of the "Daredevil" Netflix series.

The website Netflix Life weighed in on the rumored third and last season of "Daredevil," saying that while a follow-up to Season 2 is very likely due to the events that happened in the previous episodes, saying that Season 3 will be the last is still a pure speculation with no confirmed source.

In "Daredevil" Season 2 finale, viewers saw Elektra's body being dug up from the burial grounds and retrieved to be contained in the mystical casket which was used by the group to bring Nobu back to life. From here, it can be predicted that The Hand will use the coffin to resurrect Elektra as well.

Aside from Elektra's possible return from the underworld, there is still a lot of things to be addressed regarding the Punisher and his backstory. The final two episodes tried to tie all loose ends in Punisher's storyline, although there could be a need for Season 3 in order to wrap all things up completely.
