Since the Netflix television series "Daredevil" was renewed for a third season, many fans of the Marvel superhero have been wondering about what the upcoming season will explore. Though fans are thrilled that the show has been renewed, the long wait and the dizzying rumors have been a bit frustrating for some.

Is the upcoming season really coming soon? Some speculate that the show could return in early 2017. However, at the Television Critics Association summer press tour, Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos made it clear that Netflix only produces two shows a year, and this tradition will most likely to continue in 2017.

To note, "Iron Fist" and "The Defenders" are already scheduled for release next year. Hence, the third season for "Daredevil" could return to the small screen in 2018.

But fans of the show shouldn't dismay. Matt Murdock or "Daredevil" (Charlie Cox) will be joining other Marvel superheroes in another Netflix series, "The Defenders." He will be alongside other characters like Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones). The heroes will band together to save Hell's Kitchen.

What fans are certain about the upcoming season is the return of Cox and two other actors – Deborah Ann Woll who plays Karen Page, and Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson.

Elodie Yung who portrays Elektra Natchios is rumored to come back in the upcoming season. In the original comic book series, Elektra is reportedly brought to life by a magic ritual.

Fabnewz reports that the villain Bullseye could also be making an appearance in season 3. The news outlet reveals that Bullseye will appear in the show when Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) hires him for his services.

Though Bullseye lacks superhuman traits, he is a skilled assassin. He eventually goes rogue, and starts killing people linked to the titular character to satiate his lust for vendetta. Netflix has yet to announce who will be taking on the role of Bullseye.
