The second season of Netflix's critically-acclaimed superhero series "Daredevil" concluded last March and fans are now wondering if the show will be renewed for another full season.

Even though the show proved itself to be deserving of another season, rumor has it that certain circumstances might delay the production for an indefinite time. Recently, showrunners Douglas Petrie and Marco Ramirez were confirmed to be in charge of the upcoming series "The Defenders." With their hands already full, fans speculate that it might take a while before "Daredevil" returns to TV screens in his solo program if the network confirms a third season. As of now, the fate of the show remains hanging in the balance.

During a press event for Netflix shows in Paris, lead actor Charlie Cox himself admitted that he is unsure if another season will be on its way. "We don't know if there's going to be a season three," he said via The Independent. "I certainly don't know." Cox went on to express his excitement for the upcoming series "The Defenders" where the character of Daredevil will be included.

"What we do know is at the end of this year we're going to be making The Defenders and, of course, Daredevil is very much a part of that foursome. I have no idea what the storyline is going to be for that show. I'm very excited to see how those world's combine... and interested to see tonally how those shows become one," the British actor said. When it comes to the season finale, the actor hinted that anything can happen now, saying, "In terms of wrapping up any storylines, maybe they'll do some of that in The Defenders. Or maybe they won't."

For the meantime, fans of "Daredevil" can watch their well-loved masked hero as the two previous seasons are currently available for streaming on Netflix.
