Dancing With The Stars Season 19 Cast List: Sadie Robertson of Duck Dynasty Joins
Sadie Robertson, one of the cast members of the A&E reality show "Duck Dynasty," will be starring on this upcoming season of "Dancing with the Stars," it was announced Thursday.
17-year-old Robertson is one of several new celebrity cast members to join the ABC program in which celebrities are paired with professionals dancers and taught unique dance routines that they perform in front of a live audience.
Along with Robertson, other well-known celebrities to reveal their dancing talents this season include Olympian Lolo Jones, actor Alfonso Ribeiro, Walter Waltrip, Jonathan Bennett, and Lea Thompson.
Robertson will be paired with professional dancer Mark Ballas. She told "Good Morning America" on Thursday that she thinks this new opportunity will be "really fun," and she thinks Uncle Si may teach her a few dance moves while she prepares for the competition.
"The [family] thought it was hilarious," Robertson said of her family's reaction to her decision to join the show. "We don't really have that much dancing experience in our family, but it's going to be really funny to see them there at the shows."
Another well-known celebrity to star on season 19 of "Dancing With The Stars" is Alfonso Ribeiro, known for his role as Carlton on "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air."
"We will absolutely give the fans what they would love to see, which is the Carlton dance," Ribeiro said on the Wednesday, referencing his famous dance moves on the 1990's sitcom. "I've got to do the Carlton, I've got to do the 'Jump On It' and I got to do a little Michael Jackson. I gotta give the audience a reason to keep me on."
