'Dance Moms' season 7 rumors: Will the Zieglers and Lukasiak return to the show?
"Dance Moms" was renewed for a seventh season. Although filming has yet to begin, sources say that original cast members Maddie Ziegler and Chloe Lukasiak are rumored to return next season.
Lukasiak left the show in season 4. But does her recent Instagram post suggest that she will be returning to the Abby Lee Dance Company (ALDC)? Many seem to think so. Lukasiak posted a photo in Studio 19 and captioned it with "Last day at the original studio." Some sources said that she will be leaving Studio 19 to return to ALDC. However, her fans who commented on the photo explained that the studio will be transferring to a new location. Hence, the chances of Lukasiak returning to the show are slim.
Although the Ziegler family just recently left the show, rumors about their return for the seventh season are circulating. Maddie Ziegler, along with her sister Mackenzie and their mother Melissa Gisoni, quit last May.
Maddie is best known for starring in Sia's music video "Chandelier" and she left the show to focus on bigger projects. To name a few, Maddie will appear in the film "The Book of Henry" and is also expected to join singer-songwriter Sia on her tour. Maddie most likely cannot join season 7 because of her other commitments.
Although Mackenzie doesn't have the same projects as her sister, a source says that she will not be returning to the show because it will be difficult for their mother to keep an eye on both teens if they're off doing different projects in different locations.
Lifetime has confirmed the renewal of "Dance Moms" for a seventh season but details regarding this remain scarce. While waiting for further information about the seventh season, fans can catch the second half of season six on Tuesday, Sept., 6, at 9 p.m. EDT.
