'Dance Moms' season 6 spoilers: Melissa to give a special announcement

In the upcoming "Dance Moms" season 6 episode titled "Melissa's Announcement," Melissa Gisoni will finally announce her two daughters' departure from the Abby Lee Dance Company (ALDC) elite junior team. Following weeks of Melissa's refusal to give a statement, reports say that she will make the confirmation in the next episode.

Meanwhile, the upcoming episode will also feature Abby Lee Miller giving Maddie Zeigler two duets, one with Kalani Hilliker and Kendall Vertes. Kendall's mom Jill Vertes can be seen in the episode promo, saying that the weekly event will make the teammates go head to head. Mackenzie Ziegler and Nia Frazier will have their chance for a duet too,raising the stakes in the competition. Sisters Maddie and Mackenzie will lead a group dance number called "Winter's War," inspired by soon-to-be-released fantasy movie "The Huntsman: Winter's War."

The synopsis for "Melissa's Announcement" released by Lifetime via IBT reads: "Abby's whole world is shattered when Melissa shares shocking news that will change the face of the ALDC forever. But with the ALDC's competing three trios and an epic group number inspired by the new blockbuster film, "The Huntsman: Winter's War," there is little time to spend mending Abby's broken heart."

As for the results of the Fierce National Dance Competition held in Agoura Hills California last February, the ALDC girls unfortunately did not win the "war" they worked so hard for, falling to the second spot in the ranking. However, Maddie seems to be om a winning streak with her duets. According to a "Dance Moms" spoiler site, her "Unbreak My Heart" duet with Kalani snagged the first spot in the overall teen division, with Maddie and Kendall's "Girl, Interrupted" placing second. Maddie's sister Mackenzie placed third with Nia Frazier in their open dance duet entitled "The Long Goodbye."

"Dance Moms" airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. EDT on Lifetime.
