'Dance Moms' news 2016: Abby Lee Miller facing charges for fraud, Maddie Ziegler speaks on life after quitting docuseries

Lifetime's popular reality series, "Dance Moms" may be full of drama, but what happens behind the camera is just as interesting as the show.
As fans know, Abby Lee Miller is currently in the midst of a legal battle after being charged with fraud. The reality star allegedly hid her assets to avoid paying taxes, and now the IRS is filing charges against her due to the huge amount of money she owes from the government. Miller will be sentenced in October, and fans are wondering what's next for the docuseries now that the central character is dealing with legal issues. The network has yet to release a statement regarding the show's fate.
On another note, Maddie Zeigler gained popularity when she joined the show and since then, a lot of opportunities have opened up for her. After deciding to quit in the previous season, the young performer talked to Seventeen to speak about her life after "Dance Moms." She is Seventeen magazine's cover girl for the month of August, and according to her, leaving the show was not easy. "Leaving 'Dance Moms' was a hard decision to make, but it was getting too stressful," she explained. "Now, I feel like I'm so free."
Zeigler's decision to leave the show is understandable, mainly because of too much drama involved. Miller is known to push her dance students to their limit, and Zeigler shared how she is when the camera is not on. "She's exactly how she is on the show," Zeigler said. "But the thing that I like about her most is she can actually be funny sometimes. And she also wanted me to be good." Still, it was not just a walk in the park for Zeigler. "I feel like I had so much more pressure on me to be the best in the room."
