Criminal Minds Season 11 Release Date: Will Show Be Renewed or Canceled?

null

Although Criminal Minds Season 10 premiered just yesterday, October 1, fans are already eager to know whether it will be renewed for another season. However, it is too early to tell and we are guessing that the network will still have to see how the new season does with the ratings before making a final decision on the cancellation or renewal of the show.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Love Hewitt has joined the main cast of Criminal Minds Season 10 as Kate Callahan and it looks like she will still be part of the next season assuming the show is approved for renewal.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Hewitt described Kate Callahan as an "interesting woman".

She said, "She comes to the BAU with her own experience, which I like. I wasn't quite sure at first if I was going to be a newbie who hadn't done this before. When they told me about her, I was really excited that she comes with her own background and talent."

"She had met the BAU team before in an interesting way, which they talk about in my first episode. It's fun how they've all run into each other one other time before Kate gets added to the team. She has a lot of gumption. She's very feisty. If she's afraid of a bad guy, she doesn't show it. She enjoys her job. She really enjoys understanding these people better and getting them put away", Jennifer added.

Although already expected, Hewitt's appearance on the first episode of season 10 was much talked about. We will be seeing more of her as the season progresses.

Episode 2 of Season 10, entitled "Burn", will air on October 8.

The synopsis reads, "The BAU is called to Seattle to hunt for a high school English teacher (C.S. Lee) who has committed several murders and abductions due to childhood abuse. Meanwhile, a guilt-ridden Garcia makes a trip to Texas in an effort to make things right with the male nurse whom she shot to defend herself and Reid when he was about to kill them; Garcia learns that this man now exists on death row as a consequence of his actions."
