'Criminal Minds' Season 10 Spoilers, Recap: Jennifer Love Hewitt is Perfect for Her Role
With an outstanding premiere on the first of October, "Criminal Minds" welcomed Jennifer Love Hewitt on board.
Show producer Erica Messer said she is excited to have Hewitt on the team. Hewitt plays Kate Callahan character.
"She's so lovely it's hard to not like her and then it feels like it would be playing something really false to have any kind of conflict there and also it's a little bit of a learning curve when we introduced Blake back in season 8 [and] there was a little bit of internal conflict," Messer said.
She also praised the actress for being a perfect fit for the role.
The show hit 11.6 million viewers during its first episode, according to Nielsen.
In the second episode, "Burn," the team has to face investigations on multiple killings and abductions. The episode has a daunting twist on the murders which is somehow similar to the plot of "Dexter." C.S. Lee, who played Vince Masuka on "Dexter," also portrayed a role in this episode as Justin Leu.
Meanwhile, Messer spilled details on the third episode.
"The third episode is a little bit of a departure because we're doing a massive plane wreck and it turns out it's not terrorism the way you would anticipate it...visually it feels like a feature and we really went big and we usually don't go that big that early in the season for a number of reasons but CBS was very much behind it so we went for it," Messer said.
The third episode, "A Thousand Suns," will air on Oct. 15.
