Police procedural spinoff series "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders" will air its two-part special finale this coming  May 25, and it will surely end on an action-packed episode.

According to the official synopsis provided by the network, the first hour of the show will feature the team as they attend a popular foreign festival. In "El Toro Bravo," the International Response Team (IRT) goes to the city of Pamplona, which is the capital of northern Spain's Navarre province. They will take part in a popular festival annually held there called "Running of the Bulls" (Fiesta de San Fermín) to investigate a case where a missing American tourist's ears are found.

Additionally, the second hour of the show is nothing short of interesting as the team will probe on yet another high-profile case. This time, they will investigate a horrific kidnapping case which might take a turn for the worse. In "Paper Orphans," an ordinary American family will face the biggest challenge in their lives when they go to Haiti. The daughter of the family who is visiting the island nation to adopt a child gets kidnapped, and it is up to the IRT to save her life. Meanwhile, Jack and his wife will also deal with family issues as they get ready to send their daughter to college.

The original "Criminal Minds" series ended recently with a major cliffhanger which made everyone talking, but showrunner Erica Messer chose to go the opposite way in this spinoff. "I wanted everybody to get to know this team first before we did anything like that," she told TV Guide. When they are done with the cases in Spain and Haiti, fans will see the IRT members go home to their respective families. "It's something a lot of the characters say – 'Let's go home' at the end of the episodes – the point being that we never get to see them there. By Episode 13, you do and there's a nice celebration. You meet Simmons' little girls and everyone. It felt like a nice note to end the season on," Messer discussed.

Catch the two-part special finale of "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders" season 1 this coming May 25, Wednesday at 9 p.m. on CBS.
