'Crazy Ex-girlfriend' season 2 spoilers news 2016: Rachel Bloom hints more intimate scenes, addresses sexist female casting calls
Rebecca Bunch (Rachel Bloom) finally got what she wanted when she slept with her former boyfriend, Josh Chan (Vincent Rodriguez III), in the first season of "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend." Now that season 2 is only a few months away, lead star, writer and co-creator Bloom shared interesting details on how Rebecca's love life will change.

"Rebecca is still not a virgin and it's an interesting sexual season," Bloom told E! News. "In some ways the season is everything we've wanted to do with the show because now Rebecca is more open about why she's in West Covina and what she wants out of life. She's a little closer on the road to finding happiness, which may or may not include Josh Chan," she added.
The show follows Rebecca, a successful and driven young lawyer, who seems to have it all. Even with an almost-perfect life, she realizes that something is missing. After meeting her former love interest Josh by chance, she decides to give up her life in New York to start anew in West Covina, California just to be with him.
On another note, Bloom recently addressed sexist casting calls which stereotype actresses in the industry. She recently stumbled across a sexist casting call and shared it via Instagram. Part of it indicated a preference for a "conservative country girl that flirts up a storm with the lead in public" while another one needed a "party girl that hooks up with the lead." This kind of discrimination in the entertainment industry has been around for a long time, leading Bloom to share a witty follow-up.
She emphasized the absurdity of such listings by coming up with sexist casting calls for her own show targeting male characters. "Darryl Whitefeather (20's) Looking for 20's to play 40's. Must be strikingly tall, handsome and THIN," Bloom shared via Twitter, adding, "He's a piece of beef jerky that you dream about the night you're fasting for Yom Kippur. Singing a plus."
Tune in for all-new episodes of "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" season 2 which will premiere on Friday, Oct. 21, at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
