Country music star Brad Paisley has released a new song entitled "Jesus and Me" as a dedication to the American doctor Kent Brantly who was recently infected with the Ebola virus while working to eradicate the disease in Liberia.

Paisley announced via Twitter over the weekend that he would be adding a special bonus track to his new album, "Moonshine in the Trunk," that is dedicated to Brantly and his selfless career of helping others.

"Pray for Dr. Kent Brantly — one of those brave souls who risks his life to save others," Paisley tweeted Saturday.

In a quick follow-up tweet, the country music star added: "I'm moved by the Christian Dr. Fighting Ebola who gave the serum to his friend. So Here's a bonus track. For him."

The brief, 1:18 song clip revealed by Paisley sings of a man's growing relationship with Jesus.

Brantly, a missionary doctor who worked for the evangelical humanitarian group Samaritan's Purse in Liberia, arrived in Atlanta, Georgia over the weekend to be treated at the Emory University Hospital for the deadly virus. Although it was initially reported that Brantly denied an experimental serum for the virus so that his friend and fellow aid worker, Nancy Writebol, could have it, it was later confirmed that Brantly had in fact received the serum and was reportedly improving.

Samaritan's Purse released a statement confirming that Brantly was improving. "We praise God for the news that Kent's condition is improving," the statement read. "We can confirm that Kent was able to receive a dose of the experimental serum prior to leaving Liberia. Please continue to pray for Kent, the people of Liberia, and all those who are serving there in Jesus' name."
