CM Punk Returning to WWE, Latest Rumors: Is He Going to TNA Instead?

Ever since he left the WWE in June of this year, CM Punk has steered clear of anything remotely related to wrestling and he's even refused to answer wrestling related questions. After a nine month absence from wrestling, Inquisitr quoting from Wrestling News Source states the Punk was seen backstage in an Ohio Valley Wrestling event.
Going by reports however, he wasn't there to compete but was supporting his fried Cliff Compton. Inquisitr notes that this appearance by Punk could mean that he is ready to be in the ring again.
Chanting for Punk during his wife AJ Lee's matches are also getting pretty loud and Inquisitr thinks this could be one of the reasons for his comeback. Breathecast notes that the chants have started to cause concern to WWE, who fear it will interrupt the broadcast of Raw.
Several WWE wrestling legends including Jim Ross and Mick Foley have stated that Punk might return, and if he wrestled either Brock Lesnar or Stone Cold Steve Austin WWE could earn a lot of money. Stephanie McMahon who is currently employed by WWE also commented about the possibility of Punk's return stating that "CM Punk is an incredible character. We've had a lot of fun with him and who knows what the future holds."
Since the rumors about CM Punk's return started to swirl, several sources including Bleacher Report stated that WWE's rival TNA had offered him a deal to return. After that report Give Me Sport quoted a TNA source, saying that no such offer was made to Punk.
Breathecast notes that one of the rumors surrounding Punk's departure from WWE was, that he sent a letter to the WWE demanding that they pay his royalties. This bad blood between Punk and the WWE could be the reason they don't want to work together anymore.
