CM Punk News 2014: WWE Wrestler Now With Marvel, Appears On 'Talking Dead'

CM Punk was recently employed by Marvel as one of the company's writers. Since then he also made an appearance on the "Talking Dead." The show airs right after "The Walking Dead" and usually features cast from the show.

CM Punk has appeared thrice on the show. Commenting on "The Walking Dead" plot, he said he expected Carol and Daryl to finally hook up, and that it was "ridiculous" that they didn't.

When the "Talking Dead" aired recently, CM Punk was introduced as one of the three guests on the show. He joined Walking Dead cast member Tyler James Williams, who plays Noah, and Yvette Nicole Brown, star of the series "Community."

Previously when CM Punk appeared on the "Talking Dead" he used his real name Phil Brooks. But this time around, he was introduced by his WWE moniker. However, this does not mean that he is going to be returning to the WWE anytime soon. In fact his friend Colt Cabana pointed out to the press that Phil was very happy to have left WWE.

Cabana apparently referred to the marriage of CM Punk with fellow WWE wrestler AJ Lee last August. CM Punk quit the WWE after a rumored dispute over royalties. However, Lee continues to work for WWE.

Since leaving WWE, CM Punk has appeared in wrestling matches to support his friends aside from engaging in other activities. But he has always maintained that he will not return to the ring in any WWE events.

As for his "Talking Dead" appearance, CM Punk mentioned when Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride and Daryl Dixon(Norman Reedus) slept next to each other on a bed, he expected that they would finally act on the "sexual tension between them and hook, up." He also described the relationship between Daryl and Beth (Emily Kinney) as "weird."
