The May update of the popular mobile game, "Clash of Clans," has been working perfectly for other players. However, some players are complaining of the excessive notifications that were brought along by this month's update. The game developer Supercell apparently plans to address the complaints by releasing an optional update.

According to reports, the highly anticipate "Clash of Clans" update that was released on May 24 has been terrible for several players. Although it brought in exciting new features such as new troops, additional spells and a few game enhancements, some players are not as happy as the others. Gamers did not anticipate the flooding of notifications that were included in the update.

According to some players, it has become pretty annoying to receive notifications after notifications with just a few minutes gap. Although they appreciate the important notifications they receive every once in a while, the excessive reminders are said to be making the game less fun to play.

In a report by iDigital Times, the company has finally come up with an offer of a new optional update to correct the problem. Players who decide to download the new update will no longer receive the excessive notifications they were complaining about. The new update will only allow notifications or reminders every 12 hours.

Meanwhile, according to a Redditor, Andriod users can filter or limit the type of notifications they receive on the game. Players using Android devices only have to configure the Notification Listener and Tasker to minimize the reminders they receive. They were able to apply this solution even before Supercell decided on a new optional update.

Nonetheless, for iOS users, it was unfortunate that they do not have temporary fixes of the issue. However, they can now download the update to make sure they receive notifications according to their preference.

As June is fast approaching, "Clash of Clans" fans are excited to know what is in store for them this month from the game developer. As of the moment, Supercell has yet to provide new details about the game.
