'Clash of Clans' news 2016: Supercell bans cheating players for two weeks

Supercell has already released a statement saying that it would ban players of its highly popular mobile game, "Clash of Clans," who are caught cheating. The decision came after many gamers complained about the others using third-party apps to cheat in the game. However, the battle between Supercell and these third party developers has just started as the latter suggest that they will strengthen their anti-detection software.

The cheating issue is no longer something new and the company is trying their best today to eradicate all these as they impose fair play on the game. Nonetheless, there are players right now who choose not to play fairly against the others and they are using all the resources available today in order to stay on top of the competition.

Supercell stated on their official website that they have already started banning those cheaters for two weeks with threats of banning them permanently on their second offense. Banned players will not be able to log into their bases, losing the opportunity to join clan wars.

Meanwhile, Xmod Games, which is said to be the largest "Clash of Clans" third party cheat, took the threat from Supercell as a challenge and announces on their Twitter account that they will make sure to improve their algorithm so that players can continue to take advantage of it.

Apparently the third party app is being used by many players in order to appear online, even if they are not, so that other gamers are not able to attack their towns. There are also reports that other gamers cheat by getting extra currencies without spending a single dollar through in-game purchase. It will then allow these players to do unlimited upgrades on their troops and defenses to make their town stronger.

"Clash of Clans" has reportedly been the top grossing mobile games today, along with another Supercell game, "Clash Royale." The latter has been gaining popularity each month since its release.
