'Cinderella' Movie Release Date, Live Action Movie Trailer: Another Potential Disney Hit In 2015

Going by the looks of the recently released trailer of the live action movie version of the much loved and classic fairy tale "Cinderella," Disney could be enjoying another smash box office hit in 2015.
"Cinderella" is set to hit movie screens in the first quarter of next year. As of latest reports, the premiere of the movie is set on March 13.
Director Kenneth Branagh is responsible for bringing the fairy tale about a maltreated young girl and the young man who rescues her from a life of misery and hardship to life on the big screen.
Branagh is directing Lily James who will play the title role. Actress James has become well-known to the public courtesy of the TV drama series "Downton Abbey."
Meanwhile, Lady Tremaine, the evil stepmother, will be portrayed by Cate Blanchett.
The role of the magical Fairy Godmother is being acted out by Helena Bonham-Carter. Actor Richard Madden will be the Prince, Derek Jacobi will essay the role of the King, and Stellan Skarsgård will be the King's adviser who schemes and sows intrigues.
With such a power-packed cast and with the movie being in the hands of the highly capable Branagh, it does look as if Disney will be able to enjoy another hit, just as it did with "Maleficent" last summer.
The trailer also shows that a lot of loving care went into the use of CGIs to recreate as faithfully as possible in live action the scenes so beloved by fans of the original animated version.
It's only a few more months before the moviegoing public will judge if the live action version will be as endearing as the animated one. Here's hoping that Branagh's movie makes the grade.
