'Chicago P.D.' season 4 air date, spoilers news: Billy Burke lands guest starring role; star Jesse Lee Soffer talks what lies ahead for Voight

"Chicago P.D." is all set to premiere next week, and a new cast member will be joining the upcoming fourth season for a guest starring role.
"The Revolution" alum and current "Zoo" star Billy Burke will ba a part of the hit cop drama for a guest spot, playing the role of a legendary retired baseball player. Although his character's name was not revealed, Burke will portray an ex-athlete who gets caught up in a murder investigation, leading the department to start questioning him. According to TV Line, Burke will appear on the upcoming installment's sixth episode titled "Skin in the Game."
This is not Burke's first time joining a police series, since he previously landed recurring roles on TNT procedurals "Rizzoli & Isles" and "Major Crimes". Aside from Burke, the Dick Wolf-produced program will also introduce "Quantico" alumna Li Jun Li as Burgess' (Marina Squerciati) new partner after her former partner/love interest Sean Roman (Brian Geraghty) left the department.
Meanwhile, season 3 left off with Voight (Jason Beghe) hell-bent on getting answers and probably revenge after his son was killed. He sent the team away on a bad tip, and the last moments saw him going out of his way to get revenge on his own. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, series star Jesse Lee Soffer shared teasers on what's next for Voight and the whole team after the intriguing events last season.
"For Voight, he went after the guy on his own. Did Voight kill him? Did he not? We don't know," he explained. "So the rest of the unit is trying to pick up the pieces and keep their necks above water. Are we going to go down with him for this? Is he going to go down for this? Lindsay's trying to take care of Voight, that's her father figure, and Halstead's trying to make sure that Lindsay doesn't go down with Voight if that's what ends up happening."
