The teenager is in need of surgery, but her overprotective mother makes the process more complicated when she disagrees with the doctors' course of action.

Dr. Halstead and April make a discovery that further complicates her treatment for TB, while Dr. Charles can't help himself from meddling in his daughter Robyn's (guest star Mekia Cox) personal life.
Over the past few episodes, viewers saw a new working relationship between Doctors Reese and Charles. Although Reese initially thought she was heading to the pathology department, she soon realized that she wants to work with patients instead. Speaking with E! News, Platt shared his thoughts on Reese's decision. "I don't think it was actually soulful enough for her," he stated. "I don't think that's a word that Sarah Reese would use but she was obviously looking for meaning."
DiPillo also gave her take on her character's perspective, saying: "I feel like she was walking one walk but her talk was getting in her way. Her talk was 'pathology, pathology, pathology,' but her walk [wasn't]. When you went back and looked at, it was fitting."
Keep tuning in to "Chicago Med" season 2 airing every Thursday night at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
