'Chicago Fire' season 5 spoilers, news: Gabby and Antonio's parents join cast; Borrelli and Chief Boden's rift continues

Gabby (Monica Raymund) and Antonio Dawson's (Jon Seda from "Chicago P.D.") parents will be visiting the Windy City in the upcoming fifth season of NBC's hit series "Chicago Fire."
According to reports, the popular "Chicago" franchise has cast Fulvia Vergel and Daniel Zacapa as the parents of Gabby and Antonio. The mother and father will be heading to Chicago to celebrate their anniversary by throwing a party, but the happy occasion immediately takes a turn for the worse. The pair is set to appear in the seventh episode of season 5. Vergel is best known for her role in "Hold the Door," while Zacapa's acting credits include "Se7en," "Up Close and Personal" and "Masterminds."
The introduction of Gabby and Antonio's parents is very timely since the siblings have a lot of things going on in their lives. Gabby recently became a foster mom to Louie, while Antonio is about to enter a new relationship with Gabby's co-worker and good friend Brett (Kara Killmer).
Seda recently caught up with The Hollywood Reporter, and he shared his thoughts on the arrival of his on-screen parents. "They're emotional characters. When it comes to family, they don't play around with that," he explained. "Their family values are really strong, so when there are some issues that come up, it's going to affect them pretty good." The actor also hinted that there will be "some family issues" once their parents enter the picture.
Tuesday's premiere will pick up with Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Stella (Miranda Rae Mayo) on the lookout for her very unstable former boyfriend Grant (guest star Guy Burnet), who immediately left Chicago Med without informing anyone. Dawson will begin to consider leaving her dangerous job now that she has Louie, while Casey (Jesse Spencer) continues his work as Alderman. Meanwhile, the tension between Borrelli (Steven R. McQueen) and Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker) continues.
The fifth season of "Chicago Fire" returns on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
