Gabriela Dawson (Monica Raymund) will get her priorities straight when "Chicago Fire" returns for its fifth season this Fall.

Season 4 saw Dawson rescuing a child and eventually being attached to him. The female firefighter goes out of her way to adopt the baby, and season 5 might see her sacrifice her career to become a stay-at-home mom. Jesse Spencer, who plays the role of Dawson's boyfriend Matt Casey, recently caught up with TV Guide to share insights on the important decisions Dawson will make next season. "Two people running into burning buildings is not great. Both of us could get hurt," he said.

On another note, another character from the show will have a crossover romance with an officer from "Chicago P.D." Both franchises are no stranger to crossover relationships, starting with Lindsay (Sophia Bush) from and Severide (Taylor Kinney). Platt (Amy Morton) & Mouch (Christian Stolte) even got married and according to executive producer Matt Olmstead, Brett (Kara Killmer) and Antonio (Jon Seda) will be paired with one another next season.

The two seem to be an unlikely couple but Olmstead believes their different personalities and backstories will make the partnership work. "It started to gain some traction because of the actors," he told Entertainment Weekly. "There's plenty to play in terms of the May-December version of Brett to Antonio — his character has a couple kids, he's divorced, no way should he be with this woman, but she's had her heart broken. She's looking for a real man, he qualifies. He's looking for a real soul, a real heart, and she qualifies."

The EP noted that these types of relationships are quite difficult to work out because of scheduling conflicts. However, they have already figured out a way to make the story arc effective given the limited time they have. Among the three "Chicago" shows currently on air, P.D. and Fire are always connected which means more of this interesting pairing can be seen next season.
