'Chicago Fire' season 5 episode 8 spoilers: Dawson accidentally hits pedestrian; Casey prepares for promotion

Dawson (Monica Raymund) accidentally hits a pedestrian while en route to a call in the upcoming episode of NBC's "Chicago Fire" season 5.
Titled "That Day," the show's sixth episode will see Dawson in a tight spot. According to the official synopsis, Dawson is responding to a call in the field when she accidentally hits a pedestrian who stepped in front of the ambulance. Although she never intended to hurt anyone, Dawson is left to deal with the repercussions.
Meanwhile, Lt. Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Lt. Severide's (Taylor Kinney) investigation on an arson incident continues. However, they still can't agree on certain aspects of the case. Back in the headquarters, Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker) is left to decide whether to attend an important function in New York. Hoping for a possible promotion, Casey puts Herrmann (David Eigenberg) at the helm for a shift so he can learn what his superiors deal with every day.
After seasons of complications, the show's beloved "Dawsey" couple has indeed come a long way. So far, things are good between the two characters and it looks like they will be taking their relationship to a new level in the near future.
"Casey and I are now really committed to each other and we feel like we're family, and I think we're going to see some really amazing stories from the both of them," Raymund told E! News during last week's One Chicago celebration. "We actually make a commitment to each other in a way that I think the fans will be very excited about," she hinted.
It remains to be seen if fans will be hearing wedding bells for the two responders soon, but the actress revealed that she is happy to see how things are going for Dawson. "Being back on ambo is like being back home," she said.
