Chelsea Clinton claims abortion is 'at the core of human rights'
Speaking to about a hundred people at the Civil Service Employee union's office in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. earlier this week, Chelsea Clinton touched on one of the most popular topics in this campaign season — abortion.
Clinton defended abortion and said that the decision to go through it is "at the core of our human rights."

"A woman's right to chose is at the core of our human rights and what should be equity in our country," she said, according to Poughkeepsie Journal.
Her remark about abortion rights appears to be a jab at Republican presidential hopefuls Ted Cruz and Donald Trump, who are both known to be pro-life.
Clinton's mother Hillary, in an interview earlier this month at NBC's "Meet the Press," made a controversial statement, saying, "The unborn person doesn't have constitutional rights."
This comment received a negative response from pro-choice groups because she used the term "unborn person," which according to her critics causes the stigma in abortion.
Also, in a previous interview with Cameron Bure at "The View," Hillary remarked that a woman can both be pro-life and feminist at the same time and that being pro-life and feminist are not mutually exclusive.
"The reason why being pro-choice is the right way to go is because it is a choice, and hopefully a choice rooted in the thoughtfulness and care that women bring to this decision. So of course you can be a feminist and be pro-life," she said.
Aside from discussing about abortion rights, Hillary's daughter also talked about gun control and health care. Praising her mother's accomplishments, Clinton said Hillary is the only candidate who will be able to continue what Obama had started, specifically to improve health care. She also said that her mother is the only one among the presidential candidates who has a "strong record on gun control."
