'Castle' season 8 spoilers: Kate investigates a murdered NYPD recruit

In Castle's latest episode titled "Fidelis Ad Mortem," Kate Beckett and her team return to the NYPD academy to investigate on a murdered officer.

A female student at the academy caught the attention of Beckett, and she decided on training her. ABC's teaser for the episode even showed Beckett training her protégé, while showing her strength by taking punching bag down with her punches. A reason for Kate mentoring a trainee from the NYPD might be because she sees her younger self whenever she looks at the recruit.

According to FashionNStyle, Beckett taking on the role of a teacher might be interesting, adding the possibility of the young trainee to help with the investigation. With their suspect using NYPD training to kill, the fate of Beckett's female protégé hangs in the balance. The upcoming episode is also expected to bring up darker truths.

Huge revelations surprised fans in the last episode of Castle. With Rick discovering that he was the one responsible for provoking LokSat following the danger it brought upon Beckett and her team. Additionally, it seems like another key aspect that the upcoming episode will tackle further. As for Rick's relationship with his wife, the question on how long he will keep secrets from her remains. "Fidelis Ad Mortem" (translated in English as "faith upon death") might be a hint that someone will die in the episodes, as speculations say. With the skills of a police officer, the new suspect they are hunting down will definitely be a tough one to catch, according to Melty.

Guest stars for the episode include:Michael Bowenwil to play the role of Sergeant Joseph Ortiz, along with Evan Adrian as Bardot and James Morrison as Commissioner Malone.

Chad Gomez Creasey wrote "Fidelis Ad Mortem" and was directed by Rob Bowman.

The newest "Castle" episode airs on Monday, March 21 10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT on the ABC Television Network.
