'Castle' season 8 spoilers: Kate investigates a murdered NYPD recruit
In Castle's latest episode titled "Fidelis Ad Mortem," Kate Beckett and her team return to the NYPD academy to investigate on a murdered officer.

A female student at the academy caught the attention of Beckett, and she decided on training her. ABC's teaser for the episode even showed Beckett training her protégé, while showing her strength by taking punching bag down with her punches. A reason for Kate mentoring a trainee from the NYPD might be because she sees her younger self whenever she looks at the recruit.
