'Castle' Recap, Latest News: Castle And Beckett Finally Get Married

The long awaited wedding of the lead characters of "Castle" -- Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) – finally took place last Monday in the episode titled "The Time of Our Lives." Castle airs every Monday at 10/9c on ABC.
Kate and Castle's wedding has been on hold since last season's finale which saw Castle being kidnapped. In the current season, Castle was found at sea after having gone missing for two months and with no memory of what happened. Since then, the show has delved into the reasons behind Castle's disappearance including the possibility that he planned it himself to hide a secret from his past.
In "The Time of Our Lives," Castle and Beckett were investigating a murder when an Incan artifact triggered an explosion and Castle was thrown in an alternate universe. In this alternate universe, Castle was not rich and was only staying with his well-to-do mom. Beckett and others at the police precinct did not know him. His daughter also had black hair and did not like him. However, the case that he was working with Beckett in the real world remained the same, and Castle used this information and his knowledge of the case to get back on the team at the precinct.
As usual he played an important role in helping solve the murder. But before he could get to the artifact and get back to the real world, Castle took a bullet as he stepped in front of Kate to protect her from a gunman.
He then woke up to find himself in the real world where he again proposed to Kate. She agreed to marry him immediately.
The final part of the episode saw Castle and Kate exchanging their vows and finally going ahead with their wedding which had remained pending since the events of last season.
As for Castle's disappearance, that remains a mystery which will probably be dealt with in the upcoming episodes.
