A remastered version of "Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" is set to hit the shelves soon, and Activision recently revealed a playthrough of the Crew Expendable mission to give fans a glimpse of how they drastically improved the game quality.

To make a better comparison of the old and new version, IGN created a video running the two games side-by-side. Some of the scenes are being frozen to give gamers a closer look at the changes in graphics.

According to Activision, some of the significant improvements they have done include "vibrant current generation visuals, with fully improved texture resolution and detail, high-dynamic range lighting, lit and shadowing VFX particles, revamped animation and audio, stunning sound, and much more."

Originally released in 2007, "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" quickly gained a huge following and earned its title as the year's best-selling game in the world. Years after its phenomenal success, Activision takes the game to a new level through a remastered version which will be available later this year.

According to PlayStationLifestyle.net, the remastered version can only be played after pre-ordering any version of "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare." For those who will pre-order the Infinite Warfare Digital Deluxe Edition for PS4, they will also have an early access to the Modern Warfare Remastered campaign scheduled on Oct. 5. In terms of gameplay, 10 multiplayer maps will be added to the new version which can be previewed around September.

To further clarify things, a representative from Activision emphasized that the upcoming remastered version cannot be played without having Infinite Warfare, saying: "No, you must own Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare in order to get Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered."

"Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" Remastered and Infinite Warfare are both scheduled to be released on Nov. 4 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
